Patriots sign QB Josh Dobbs, WR Mack Hollins, and OL Morgan Moses on first day of NFL Free Agency

The New England Patriots found their next backup quarterback to sit behind Drake Maye, Josh Dobbs, a 30-year-old NFL fan favorite vet. Dobbs, the former San Francisco 49er has had a pretty solid 2024-25 season with the 49ers where he played in two games and recorded 32 completions out of his 47 passes for 361 yards with two touchdowns and only two interceptions, Dobbs also added two rushing touchdowns on the ground. On Monday late afternoon, the veteran signed a two-year deal worth up to $8 Million according to Tom Pelissero.
Patriot fans wanted a Wide Receiver and they got one, Mack Hollins a former Buffalo Bill who makes big time plays when is counted on. In the 2024-25 season Hollins recorded 31 receptions for 378 yards and five touchdowns, the 31-year-old wide out is a solid down field blocker and is a player who strives in one-on-one coverage down field. Standing at 6-foot-4, 209 pounds the Patriots got Drake Maye a player who can be trusted in big time moments. The Patriots signed the wide receiver to a two-year deal worth up to $10.4 Million according to Mike Garafolo.
Offensive line help is on the way, Morgan Moses a 34-year-old Offensive tackle who most recently played for the New York Jets is on his way to New England on a three-year-deal worth up to $28.5 Million according to Mike Garafolo; Since 2022, Moses has been sixth in PFF grade for right tackles at a very solid number of 81.8 overall. The six-foot-six, 335-pound right tackle should be an instant upgrade of the 2024-25 Patriots Offensive line.
