What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Honestly my favorite sport was baseball and I loved to catch the ball and that’s why when I started playing and catching footballs I really started to love football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My last college game winning a bowl game for the first time in school history and we really came together as a team and I won defensive MVP.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Impacting lives on and off the field and spreading the life of Jesus Christ through my platform.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Ray Lewis, how he prepared for everything and stepped up in the moment and we were both under recruited and I would love to talk to him.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom, very hardworking woman always putting others before herself and it always humbles me seeing that.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-2-5, you have an ability to do a lot of blitzing and covering and you have more playmakers on the field in that scheme.

What should we know about Jaylon Jimmerson the person?

I’m a very humbling, small town kid who loves to fish, be outdoors, I’m big in my faith, and I love public speaking and showing people that everything happens for a reason.

What stands out about your film the most?

My ability to play anywhere in the defensive backfield, my ball hawking ability, my ability to stop the run, read concepts and I’m not afraid of contact.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I rely on God and I’m a firm believer and put everything in God’s hands and I go by this one quote “challenges change you, but you are upholding Gods image.”

What would a team get in a player like you?

A very passionate leader, who’s consistent and will do whatever the team needs me to do.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the physicality and passion between a man and another man and anything can happen and I also like the unknowing that comes from the game.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

CJ Hardy, one of the toughest receivers I’ve guarded throughout my college time and how fast and consistent he was at running routes.
