UTEP Football Player Arrested For Assaulting a Pregnant Lady
UTEP has suspended Jaylon Shelton a member of their football team after he was arrested and booked on assault charges.
According to the reports, Shelton was charged with assault on a family household member, assault of a pregnant person, and unlawful restraint.
UTEP provided this statement:
Jaylon has been suspended from the team. We have no further comment at this time.
The 6’2, 190 pound cornerback from New London, Texas has been at numerous schools. He started off at JUCO, then went on to West Virginia, before transferring last year to UTEP from Texas State.
