Former Arizona State Football Player is Suing Cam Skattebo for Injury he Suffered via the NEWSPAPER?

You cannot make this up, Cam Skattebo is being sued by a former teammate. The statement is pretty wild too, the attorney of Mattheos Katergaris tried to reach the highly rated running back and after a few failed attempts, the attorney served him via the newspaper. Neil Udulutch told Arizona Republic, the judge allowed him to serve Skattebo via a notice in the newspaper.
“He’s been hard to pin down,” Udulutch said. “I have reason to believe he was in Florida preparing for the combine and then I know he was in Indy. I don’t know if he even lives in Arizona anymore. Maybe he’s bouncing around hotels. I just don’t know, so I was done chasing him. My hope is that he or his family will retain an attorney and help us out here, but otherwise we’ll have to go that route. It’s kind of an archaic procedure. It is definitely a last resort.”
Skattebo had a breakout year with Arizona State. And that is why Katergaris is suing the player now, he was originally suing Arizona State but after the big year from Skattebo he figured why not. Skattebo will be making NFL money soon.
“I’m aware of the speculation and how that looks, but I can’t comment on the rationalization,” Udulutch said. “All I can say is that we became aware that it was actually him that was on the back of the golf cart, jumping up and down, according to my client.”
So according to the lawsuit, Katergaris and another player were sitting on a golf cart back in 2024 when Skattebo jumped on the cart causing it to collapse. Katergaris reportedly tore his triceps tendon and he has still not fully recovered.
Skattebo a first team All-American finished fifth in Heisman voting. This sounds pretty wild.
