What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I wouldn’t really say I decided, I would love to say God blessed me with an opportunity to play the game, it really found me at a young age and I played other sports but football spoke to me.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
I would say the little league days when we would wake up early Saturday, sleep over with my teammates, car rides talking about all the things we would do that day and really just loving to ball.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to just be my best at all time moving forward I just want to focus on being the best Andrew Henry that Andrew Henry can be.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
Barry Sanders I’ve looked up to him my whole life and I would love to just sit and pick his brain about the game and the position.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
I would say my mother and most will but my mom has showed me what it looks like to run your race with all your might even though you never know when the finish line will show up but when you see how hard she works you would think it’s close and everything in life shows us otherwise, she still is the same person.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
I would say I love a spread offense where we really make the defense work and we can place weapons anywhere on the field and we just play back yard ball.
What should we know about Andrew Henry the person?
That I am hungry and I won’t stop. It’s bigger than the cheers and claps for me it’s really about showing the world God is who they say he is and that’s the beginning and the end.
What stands out about your film the most?
I would say the thing that stands out the most of my ability to score no matter what way you want to score I can do that. That’s on special teams and the pass game too, not just in the back field.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I have been through a lot in my life and God has blessed me with a lot of mentors since I was a kid and I’ve leaned there is never anything too tough for God so I just pray and get into the word and meditate on that and give it to God and move forward
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team is getting an inspiring young player when they get me I play with my whole heart and soul and that shows in everything from the weight room to practice to how I am outside of football just in my day to day life.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
My ability to score from our own 1 yard line to the others teams 1 yard line.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Chandler Rogers (California), because Rogers is a top quarterback right now he can do what top quarterbacks do, make all the throws, great feel for the game and time management and he’s just a baller.
