Get to know Chace Davis, the talented Defensive End from BGSU. Find out why he’s considered a top prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Chace Davis is an interesting prospect to scout. Chace is from Southern California, when he was in 8th grade, he was diagnosed with skin cancer and had to have several surgeries to beat it. The first time he tried out for his High School Football team he was cut. He trained on the street every night until next year’s tryouts. He made the team, although he started his career the adversity would follow him throughout his football career.

The next step for Chace was JUCO (California JUCO is considered D-I of JUCO) two of his coaches, COACH RUIZ COACH KELIN helped him with that step. Then he moved on to the University of Nevada then he Transferred to USTA then Transferred to Bowling Green.

Every step of Chace’s career NOTHING WAS GIVEN TO HIM. Every program he went to nothing was given to him and his WORK ETHIC, TOUGHNESS, DETERMINATION got him to this point where he is an up-and-coming NFL PROSPECT.

ATHLETIC ABILITY

Chace athleticism gives him the ability to play several positions along different defensive fronts. He can play in a 3-4 and 4-3. He can also fit as a OLB in a 3-4.

COMPETITIVENESS

Chace is a tough competitor, from day 1 he has had to compete and fight every inch of the way. He doesn’t know the meaning of QUIT, on or off the field he competes even in his training he is always going and giving 100%.

MENTAL ALERTNESS

Chace has a high Football IQ, his ability to be productive whether in a rotational situation at USTA or a role at Bowling Green. Chace with all the adversity he is a natural team leader on and off the field.

STRENGTH & EXPLOSION

Chace has good strength and a quick first step playing on the edge. His intangibles will allow him to be effective at the next level. His Strength and Speed will also make it a smooth transition if a DC does want to try him at OLB.

SUMMARY

Chase is a player that has been challenged at every level of this game, and he bounces back every time. If I believe he will get a shot at the next level, he will be the first in the building and last out of the building type players. With that type of mentality and work ethic he will be a leader at the next level. Now the question is how far he can raise the ceiling of his game. I believe wherever this path he is on takes him he will become a solid prospect. Chase is a building block for a team that needs a culture change or any positive change.
