What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I grew up in a soccer family and I wanted to try football. My family just wanted me to be a kicker and it’s worked out so far.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My 64-yard field goal this past season and celebrating with my team was fun, as well as my game-winning field goal against FAU and hitting a 60-yard field goal against UConn.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Want to be one of the best kickers in the league and play in the NFL for a long time.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Adam Vinatieri and Pat McAfee, Vinatieri because I would love to see how and why he kicked and Pat McAfee would be a cool guy to hang out with.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom and dad. my mom and dad are high-achieving people and work hard to get what they want and I want to be like that.

What is your typical training routine on the field?

I like to be as consistent as possible and simulate game kicks, so I can kick in high-pressure moments and simulate game reps.

What should we know about Maddux Trujillo the person?

I’m a tireless worker and as diligent as anyone and I like being goal-driven with goals to succeed.

What stands out about your film the most?

I play with passion, enjoy the game, have a great relationship with my teammates, and play for the love of the game.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Just have to push through and God gives you challenges to push through things, I put trust in God and ask for advice from my family and friends and it usually works out.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get a confident person who loves to compete.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love how it has its highs and lows and teaches you discipline.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Dante Wright is incredibly fast and has great route-running ability. Secure hands as well.
