Popular Little League Football Player Killed in Gang Related Shooting

A young star from Florida, just seven years old, was tragically murdered during a walk with his cousin in what police are calling a “gang-related” shooting.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for those responsible for the fatal shooting of seven-year-old Breon Allen and the critical wounding of 21-year-old Lafayette Mango Jr. on Jacksonville’s Westside late Friday afternoon.
The incident has left the community in shock and grief. Locals are outraged by the senseless violence, especially the murder of a child in the middle of a gang-related drive-by shooting.
The tragedy unfolded around 5 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue, when Breon and his cousin were leaving a home, heading to the corner store. A vehicle pulled up, and the gunmen opened fire on the two. Mango was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Breon’s mother, Casheena Love is now pleading with the community to come forward with any information that could help bring justice for her son.
An $18,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for this heartbreaking crime.
Please keep the young man’s family in your prayers during this tough time.
