Two suspects arrested for shooting College Football Player on New Year’s in North Carolina
Patsy Elaine Humphries and Javier Trevino Jr. have been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred around 2 a.m. on January 1, according to Hickory police. Officers responded to the scene at 2nd Street NW and Main Avenue NW, where they discovered 22-year-old Jordan Blake Ramey suffering from gunshot wounds.
Ramey, a defensive lineman at Brevard College, was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. His family confirmed to News 13 that he had undergone surgery by January 2 and was in stable condition.
Humphries is currently being held at the Catawba County Justice Center on a $375,000 secure bond.
