What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
When me and my brother were playing outside in the backyard. He is 7 years older than me so when he started playing, I was still young, so he was asking me to come help him develop so that’s what made me start to play football and I’ve loved it since.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Playing in the Fenway Bowl, with guys that I’ve been 4-5 years with them, and winning it as our last college football game together. Winning the Canada Cup with team QC in 2017. I was there with one of my best buddies and was able to play the best player in the country.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to be able to feed my family (my wife, our dog, cat and hamster). I want to be able to be a model for the next generation of players by how I do things on and off the field. I want to help the team I will be on by any means necessary to win games and championships.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
Jason Kelce: he has been one of the best centers in the NFL for the past decade. His knowledge about football and his technique will be nice to incorporate with him teaching/talking about it.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My wife, she had endured so much in her life but still is the strongest and kindest person that she can be. She is also a hard worker to make sure that she and our family is able to have everything they need.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
This is maybe a little biased because the past 3 years I’ve been in that scheme, but I would say outside zone. The reasons why are because it creates so much pressure on the defensive. It is so hard to stop, and we don’t need to block the backside defensive end.
What should we know about Christopher Fortin the person?
I’m a married man to my wonderful wife Sophi. I have two beautiful sons Bagel and Maple Mouse (a dog and a hamster) and a daughter named Bunny (a cat). I’m a fan of burgers and ketchup like a huge fan. I’ve played multiple sports in my life (basketball, volleyball, baseball, hockey and Olympic lifting). I’m an uncle of two beautiful girls
What stands out about your film the most?
I’m always working towards the ball, trying to find blocks downs the field. I’m going to be the same at the start of the game through the end, meaning I’m in good shape. I passed games pretty well in pass protection.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I try to focus on the solutions that we can have in the moment if we are in a game or an urgency. I stay calm, talk with my teammates and figure it out. If it’s more in the long term I try to correct it or help my teammates or other people with the best of my knowledge by giving them tips that helped me.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A guy that will work all the time, on and off the field, in the gym, in the film room. A guy that you can put anywhere on the OL or even as a jumbo TE. A guy with a knowledge of football pretty good but that is always willing and wanting to learn.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
A guy that doesn’t know how to stop working. The fact that a brotherhood is created each year and being part of a team with guys from across the globe with one unique goal. Hitting people (in a legal way) just the physical part of playing football. The off-season. Winning games.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
The most underrated players I’ve played with is Joe Fagnano. That man was always ready no matter what the situation was. Very calm in the pocket and people trashed his name and his parkours but that man is great, and people should have seen that before but in 2024, when he was on the field that man was throwing darts and making us win.
