What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
The passing of my grandfather when I was younger it was my the last thing he saw me do before he passed.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments from my football career had to be winning 2 State Championships in High School and 2 Conference championships at Albion College.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I just want to continuously evolve and master my craft and see if my skills and game can match up against professionals.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
I’d have to go with 2 players. One Darrelle Revis just my favorite corner and I would just wanna pick his brain on ball and how he was able to what he did. And Randy Moss because he’s just my favorite football player.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mother because she is the most selfless person and just go above and beyond in everything she does. she just still instill that belief in me. So I would have to say her.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
My favorite is 4-2-5 and because it’s just a sound defense and it allows you to be multiple against a lot of formations.
What should we know about Ricky Pearson II the person?
I’m genuinely caring person and love to help others especially the youth that’s a trait I take from my mother.
What stands out about your film the most?
I would say the thing that stands out about my tape is my playmaking which comes from my IQ and understanding of the game. And my ability to play both press coverages and off man.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
When comes to challenges in life and football I just try not to make them bigger than what they are and try to think positive on the challenges and just know they don’t last forever.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A competitor, hard worker and student of the game. I love competition no matter what it is and I am willing to compete for whatever the team needs.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The relationship you building along the way playing this great game. An I would say I love the journey it takes to prepare for football season is my favorite part. I love training and then seeing all my hard-work play off on the field.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
I would say John Wester. He was the corner opposite of me at Albion College and he was a ball player. And my younger brother Davon Pearson who I also played with at Albion and he is very versatile in his play
