What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Football has been my passion since I was a kid. I grew up watching the game with my family, and the sense of teamwork and competition drew me in. Over time, I realized football wasn’t just a game, it was a platform to push myself, inspire others, and chase excellence. 

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Some of my favorite moments include winning the Patriot league championship, my first varsity touchdown which came from defense, and being named athlete of the year my senior year in high school. These moments stand out because they represent hard work paying off and the joy of achieving something great with my teammates.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I aim to contribute to a team at the highest level, be a leader, consistently improve my game, and leave a lasting legacy both on and off the field. My goal is to become someone who can make an impact in all phases of the game, while also inspiring younger players and giving back to the community that supported me along the way.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

I’d choose Ed Reed. He was a true student of the game, known for his film study, instincts, and game-changing plays. Spending a day with him would be invaluable for learning how to elevate my preparation and execution to his level.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom inspires me the most. Her dedication, perseverance, and sacrifices have shown me the true meaning of hard work and resilience. She is my biggest supporter and constant reminder to stay grounded.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I love playing in a Cover 3 scheme because it allows me to showcase my range and vision as a safety. I can patrol the deep third while keeping an eye on the quarterback, which puts me in a position to make plays and capitalize on mistakes.

What should we know about Neriyan Brown the person?

On the field, I’m a dedicated, coachable, and relentless competitor who gives 110% on every snap. Off the field, I’m a family-oriented person who values relationships and is committed to personal growth, while also striving to inspire others through my actions.

What stands out about your film the most?

My explosiveness and football IQ are what stand out. I pride myself on making plays, whether it’s reading the offense quickly, making plays on the ball, or setting the tone with physicality and precision.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I approach challenges with a growth mindset. On the field, I rely on preparation, adaptability, and focus. In life, I stay grounded, lean on my support system, and remind myself that every obstacle is an opportunity to improve.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They’d get a disciplined, coachable, and relentless competitor who leads by example. I bring passion, versatility, and a commitment to the team’s success both on and off the field. Aside from defense, I am a player who loves all four phases of special teams as well. 

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the camaraderie, the grind, and the opportunity to push myself beyond limits. Football is the ultimate team sport, and every game is a chance to showcase heart, skill, and determination.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Gabe Dubois is the most underrated player I’ve played with. His work ethic and ability to make big plays often go unnoticed, but he is the kind of teammate who makes everyone around them better.
