Merrimack Wide Receiver Myles Wilson enters transfer portal, What to know about Myles Wilson
Written by Karver Jordan
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound wide receiver Myles Wilson has entered the transfer portal after four seasons at Merrimack University, Wilson would go on to record 14 receptions for 100 yards over the span of those four seasons. Wilson has one year remaining of eligibility and is looking to do everything he can to help a program win with that remaining season. First glance at the film, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound wide receiver is a very physical player who will fight for the ball and is not afraid to take a hit. Myles Wilson looks to be a threat in the Red Zone in his practice film and also a nightmare in one vs one coverage. Merrimack mostly used the physical wideout on the outside but off of the film I could see Myles being played just about anywhere, the speed and physicality is most definitely there.
I got the chance to interview the transfer Wideout.
The first question that I asked was: What do you bring to a Wide Receiver room that other Wide Receiver recruits don’t bring?
Wilson replied with “To start I bring leadership, character, and loyalty to a locker room. On the more technical end I feel I bring a great mix between physicality and finesse. Being strong enough to use my frame & strength when needed as well as being skilled enough to use a variety of releases and route running ability to create separation.”
I followed up and ended with one last question: What should programs know about Myles Wilson?
“Myles Wilson is a god-fearing competitor that prides himself in playing with a chip on his shoulder and winning.” Wilson responded with confidence
