What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

It was something my parents put me and my older brother into and it became a life style.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Some of my favorite moments I have was winning the southland conference title and making it to the 2nd round of the FCS playoffs. And also having a real solid game against UNC 2023. Making some big plays and getting QB hits on Drake Maye.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m looking to achieve success in every opportunity that’s given. Success for me is adding value to any team I’m apart of.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

I would want to hang out with J.J Watt he is one of the most dominant defensive linemen to ever play. I would want to just talk ball and see what I could add to my game.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My grandfather is my biggest inspiration. When I was little every tackle or sack I made they would say my name over the speaker and my grandfather sat out on his porch every single Saturday and he would listen just to hear my name called.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I wouldn’t say I have a favorite defensive scheme. I like them all for different purposes. I’ve played at three programs and I have played in a 3-4 and a 4-2-5.

What should we know about Marquez Casey the person?

I’m a family man who’s motivated by his family. I’m from Jacksonville, Arkansas. I’m one of nine. I love giving back to my community.

What stands out about your film the most?

I would say my versatility and IQ. Over my Career I have developed my game to the point where I fit into all defense’s schemes. I can play 5, 4, 4i, 3. I would also say that my pass rushing would be something that stands out on film being versatile enough to rush inside or outside at a high level.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

First thing first I’m always seeking God. He’s the head of my life so that allows me to walk towards challenges boldly. Knowing that I’m covered by him.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They would be getting someone who’s selfless who knows what it takes to get the job done. Someone of high integrity and just a straight up ball player.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The thing I love most about football is what it has brought me and that’s opportunity. I’ve been blessed to be able to be on stages my family and I have only dreamt about.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Bo Spearman, he’s selfless, knows the game and plays the game with a certain physicality that’s needed.
