What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I love competition, hitting and dominating and football is a very special game teaching me about life but about myself as well and it’s a blessing to be a part of it.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My forced fumble moments and the energy in the stadium whether the opposing team’s fans get quiet or our fans get riled up, and my teammates that surround me in those plays.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
To make those same big time plays for a team that’s invested in me and willing to drive me past my potential and winning a Super Bowl with my new family when I get drafted or signed.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
Lawrence Taylor or Ed Reed, they are people I feel that have the ideal energy, and passion that a Hall of Fame caliber player has which I want to amass to.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom, she’s just a very hardworking person, who is a persevering woman, who embodies a true genuine spirit.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
3-4, I like being in open space and making the tackle or play on the line and disrupt plays and just like being in space and making the necessary tackle.
What should we know about Kabbash Richards the person?
I’m very humble but understanding of who I truthfully am, and I love to create positivity for my team on the field or just in life. So, they can see how football has done for me what it can do for them and I’m the life of the party and bringing the energy when needed.
What stands out about your film the most?
I run to the ball, and many plays I’m the first or second to it and will get to the ball by any means necessary to make a play.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I make sure I am balanced when I make my decisions, logically and emotionally and I understand when adversity hits that I make sure my decision is sound and purposeful.
What would a team get in a player like you?
The best team player, they would get a hard worker that isn’t worried about the limelight but the task at hand which is my job and somebody who will benefit the program for the best and not the worst and somebody who has the positivity to change others around them.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The physicality of the game since hitting is something that I love so much but also the camaraderie of the team in something bigger than themselves.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Kam Cheatom, he has all the abilities, he just hasn’t gotten a chance yet.
