Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I majored in Business Administration and focused primarily on my academics and football during college. After football season ended, I enjoyed staying active by playing pick-up basketball.
What do you think your teammates would say is your best quality?
My teammates would describe my best qualities as my dedication to the game and my leadership on the field. I consistently give 100% effort, set a positive example, and encourage my teammates to push themselves to be their best during practices and games.
What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I see myself taking on a role where I can lead by example and contribute to the team’s success through my hard work and consistency. As a defensive back, I thrive in a scheme that allows me to showcase my ability to read the game. My skill set is well-suited for both man-to-man coverage and zone defense, where I can use my quick reactions, strong instincts, and athleticism to shut down opposing receivers and make plays on the ball.
Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Brandon Martin, Grand View (Green Bay Packers)
Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Semaji Clark is an upcoming wide receiver.
Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was having my daughter while I was in college. Balancing my responsibilities as a father, a full-time student, and a football player was incredibly challenging. I had to manage my time carefully, stay focused on my goals, and make sacrifices to ensure I was present for my daughter while staying committed to my education and team. This experience showed me how important it is to stay disciplined, keep pushing through, and focus on what matters most.
If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
I would be playing basketball.
What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?
I’m most proud of balancing being a father, student, and athlete with my girlfriend’s and family’s support. Their encouragement has allowed me to continue playing football while being there for my daughter. My most significant achievements so far is breaking records for my school. It reflects all my hard work and sacrifices, both on and off the field.
Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
One of the most memorable plays of my collegiate career was in the first and last game of my senior year. I had a 70-yard pick-six and a 75-yard fumble recovery touchdown—both of which were game-changing moments. To make those plays in such an important game, especially in my final season, was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to end my college career.
Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I model my game after Derek Stingley Jr. because his mentality is simple: when the ball is in the air, it’s his. I approach every play similarly, always ready to make a big impact.
Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
YoungBoy and his song Smoke Strong gets me pumped before games.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Chicken Alfredo is my comfort food because it brings back memories of when my mom used to cook it when I was a kid.
Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?
Adam Sandler is my favorite actor and stars in my favorite movie, The Longest Yard.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
I enjoy playing video games, watching TV shows, and catching up on movies in my spare time. It’s a great way to relax and unwind when I’m not busy.
Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?
I play football because I love the game and the excitement it brings. I’ve always enjoyed watching football, and playing it allows me to push myself to be the best. My daughter, girlfriend, mom, and family are my biggest motivators. They inspire me to keep working hard and give my all every time I step on the field.
