Terrell Owens takes a shot at Steelers WR George Pickens for lazy route running
On Christmas, the Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, and many were excited to see George Pickens back in the lineup, but it did not go well for the star wide out.
Pickens missed three games with a hamstring injury and would return to catch just 3 receptions for 50 yards.
After the game, Cam Heyward made a comment about not all the players doing their job on the defensive side of the ball, and it was met by NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, who called out Steelers star George Pickens.
“Same on offense as well when you got #14 not running his routes causing INTs,” Owens tweeted, responding to a comment from Cam Heyward about not all players doing their job.
Russell Wilson took the blame on the interception after the game, but did say he thought Pickens was going to run a different route.
“Yeah, you know, I think he was going to go vertical, but at the end of the day it can’t happen, it’s on me,” Wilson said. “I was trying to give Pat [Freiermuth] a chance. He’s done a good job for us down in the red zone, and they made a good play.”
