Former Alabama High School football star Jaden Rashad Jones was shot and killed
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of Saturday’s shooting as Jaden Rashad Jones, 20, a former football player at Center Point High School in Alabama, who graduated in 2022.
On November 30, at approximately 2:52 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an unrelated traffic incident in the area of 23rd and 25th Avenues NE. There, they discovered a vehicle with a man inside suffering from a gunshot wound.
Center Point Fire & Rescue transported Jones to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities continue to investigate the case.
