Iowa State standout running back Jaylon Jackson arrested for OWI
Iowa State running back Jaylon Jackson was arrested this past weekend for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to police reports.
The arrest occurred at 2:38 a.m. on Sunday. According to Ames Police Department’s arrest log, it happened at 618 South 17th Street.
Jackson, 22, a graduate transfer from Burleson, Texas, was arrested after failing a field sobriety test and exhibiting significant impairment. He consented to a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.102%, exceeding the legal limit of 0.08%.
The incident involved Jackson striking an unoccupied vehicle. He was transported to Story County Jail without incident.
Before joining Iowa State, Jackson previously played at Lamar and Eastern Michigan.
