What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2025 NFL Draft?
What makes me a top prospect at my position for the 2025 draft is my exceptional versatility as a linebacker. I have the ability to contribute both in space and in the box, making me a strong and reliable run defender. I’m not the type of linebacker who needs to be substituted out on third downs for a speed-oriented player. I have the athleticism and football IQ to cover the entire field, ranging from sideline to sideline with ease. My versatility allows me to be an asset in any defensive scheme, adapting to various roles as needed. Additionally, I am highly coachable, always eager to learn and improve. My work ethic is unmatched; I practice what I preach every day, dedicating myself to mastering my craft both on and off the field. This combination of physical ability, mental acuity, and determination sets me apart as a standout prospect for the upcoming draft.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
I want the NFL to know that I am not only a smart and dedicated player on the field but also a respectful and grounded individual off the field. Hailing from Bessemer, Alabama, I’ve been pursuing my dream of playing football since I was five years old. Throughout my journey, I have faced adversity and setbacks, but I’ve always managed to rebuild and push forward, never letting any challenge define my path. No matter how many times I get knocked down, I always find the strength to rise again. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to chase my dreams, especially knowing that I’ve overcome obstacles where others might have given up. My faith has played a significant role in this journey, and I believe God has blessed me with the ability to pursue my goals, despite the many obstacles that have tried to stand in my way. When I step onto the football field, I give my all and there are no shortcuts in my approach. Everything I’ve accomplished has been earned through hard work and determination. I pride myself on my heart, my effort, and my unwavering love for the game. I am committed to making the most of every opportunity, and I will continue to work relentlessly to achieve my dreams.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
If there were one cause I could dedicate my resources to, it would be supporting the construction of more homeless shelters and nonprofit organizations that assist individuals experiencing homelessness in getting back on their feet. I believe that everyone in life faces trials and tribulations, and no one should be defined by their struggles. It’s important to show compassion and lend a helping hand rather than further marginalize or bring people down during their most difficult moments. By investing in shelters and support services, we can offer not only a safe place to stay but also the tools and resources necessary for individuals to regain stability and rebuild their lives. I am passionate about creating opportunities for those who may be struggling, as I know that with the right support, everyone has the potential to overcome adversity and improve their circumstances. Helping those in need is a powerful way to make a positive impact on the community, and I am committed to being part of that change.
Who was your role model?
Growing up, my role model was Ray Lewis. Watching him play the game was nothing short of inspiring. His intensity, passion, and dedication to the sport were evident every time he stepped onto the field. Ray Lewis set the standard for what it means to be a linebacker, not just in terms of physicality and performance, but also in his leadership and ability to inspire his teammates. He exemplified the true essence of the position and dominance in the run game, coverage versatility, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Beyond his skills on the field, Lewis was a tremendous leader, holding his teammates accountable and setting a tone of discipline, focus, and commitment. His ability to motivate and lead by example has had a lasting impact on how I approach both the game of football and my own personal growth. Ray Lewis showed me that greatness is not just about talent, but about effort, mentality, and the will to push through adversity. His legacy continues to drive me to emulate those same qualities in my own game and in life.
Who is your favorite NFL team?
My favorite NFL team is the Atlanta Falcons.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is when someone attempts to belittle me or undermine my value. I believe in treating others with respect and expect the same in return, as it’s important to recognize and appreciate each individual’s worth.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
The most underrated player on my team is Keane Lewis, a talented safety who consistently demonstrates exceptional skill and awareness on the field. Keane has an instinct for the ball, and it often seems to find him in key moments. What stands out most about him is his ability to always make the right play, whether it’s through his positioning, decision-making, or reactions. His reliability and smart play frequently lead to positive outcomes, and though his contributions may sometimes go unnoticed, they are crucial to the success of our defense.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
One of the most difficult challenges I’ve had to overcome was the loss of one of my closest friends just before fall camp. In that moment, I was overwhelmed with grief and struggled to find the motivation to engage with others or participate in anything, as I was consumed by a sense of loss. The emotional weight made it hard to focus, and I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to joke around or even socialize. However, deep down, something inside me told me I needed to be strong. I realized that I had a responsibility to my teammates, my coaches, and myself to push through that difficult time and give my best effort during fall camp. It was a tough decision, but I chose to honor my friend’s memory by continuing to work hard and remain committed to the team. In the end, it taught me a valuable lesson about resilience, determination, and the importance of persevering even when faced with personal adversity.
If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house what would it be?
If I could have any franchise restaurant in my home, it would be Foosackly’s. I have a deep appreciation for their food, and I believe their menu offers a unique and satisfying dining experience that I would enjoy on a daily basis.
What is your favorite snack food?
My favorite snack foods are the classic yellow bag of M&Ms and Sour Cream & Cheddar Ruffles. Both offer a perfect balance of flavors that I enjoy.
What is your degree in?
I will be graduating on December 6 with a degree in Physical Education.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
If I could have dinner with three people, it would be my grandfather, grandmother, and a close childhood friend. I would cherish the opportunity to reconnect with them, hear their voices once more, and learn about their experiences. It would also be a chance for me to express my continued determination to complete the goals I’ve set for myself. Although their physical presence is deeply missed, I still feel their influence and support throughout my journey, and I want them to know that their impact on my life continues to motivate me.
What is your biggest weakness?
My biggest weakness is allowing the opinions and influences of outsiders to affect me at times, rather than fully blocking out the noise and staying focused on my true purpose in life. I recognize that staying aligned with my goals and values is essential, and I’m actively working on strengthening my ability to maintain focus and stay grounded despite external distractions.
