What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

At the beginning I played flag football in kindergarten and fell in love with the game and the process of everything.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Senior night in high school seeing all my family out there and senior night in college seeing my family and support system there and all the people that helped get me to where I am were my favorite moments if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I just really want to make it to the next level and put it on for my community and Augustana College and trying to make everyone proud.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Trent Williams, because of the longevity he’s had and played at a high level so long and also how he is outside of the game and conducts himself off the field.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother, growing up without a father, my mom seeing her work 2 jobs and helping me with the Washington DC trip, travel baseball and getting food on my plate. And I can’t thank her enough and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her and I genuinely wouldn’t be in this position without her.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

Spread, I love pass sets and being able to show my athletic ability in space and being able to showcase that and being able to stop smaller guys who are quicker.

What should we know about Cain Johnson the person?

Family first, whether it’s family or a team I’d go to battle for them, and nobody has to worry about me living up to standards and I’m very loyal.

What stands out about your film the most?

My athletic ability and ability to stay and latch onto guys and my grip strength and I played a lot of sports growing up and it gave me body control, awareness and coordination.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Just take it one step at a time and not looking into the past or future and live in the moment and getting the task done at hand and moving forward.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Dedication to the game and dedication to my craft and knowledge playing both defensive line and offensive line can help me through situations. And the competitor I am.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The hard work and determination and friendships the game has given me.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Chase Tatum, he was a beast through my college years and when I transitioned from the defensive line to offensive line, he really helped me and has a 405 bench, is undersized at 6 foot 225 pounds and reps with him were like game reps day in and day out.
