Seven Wide Receivers Who Could be Dealt before the Trade Deadline
It seems like wide receivers are the most valuable position right now in football with all the injuries happening. The trade deadline is quickly approaching and there are several teams who are looking to add some depth at the wide receiver position. I figured it would be fun to post five wide outs that could be dealt before the trade deadline.
Demarcus Robinson, WR, Los Angeles Rams – The Rams are deep at wide out and Demarcus Robinson has been one of the most consistent players this year for them. He had a nice deep touchdown this week, but with rookie Jordan Whittington quickly rising as a prospect, Robinson could end up getting the Rams a nice draft pick in return. I am sure the Rams would at least listen.
Adam Thielen, WR, Carolina Panthers – The Carolina Panthers are not going to win anytime soon, and there are teams that are looking for a guy that can get open and make plays. I could see a team like the Steelers pulling a trade off to land Theilen. He could be a great asset for George Pickens.
Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Green Bay Packers – The Packers are stacked at wide out and while Wicks is the fourth guy, I think they could easily move on with the rise of Bo Melton. Wicks could get them a nice pick in return, and some team would be excited to land a young man who can stretch the field.
Jalin Hyatt, WR, New York Giants – Hyatt has one catch on the year and is in the dog house or something with the Giants. I am not sure how I could let this kid sit on the sidelines. There are teams that could use a deep threat like Hyatt. I think he would be a great addition for a team looking for a person to take the top off.
John Metchie, WR, Houston Texans – Even though the Houston Texans lost Stefon Diggs they still have several players who can come in and make a difference. I could see a team coming in and making a trade for Metchie. Metchie has been a pretty good player for the Texans and could likely get them a pick in return.
KJ Obsorn, WR, New England Patriots – The consistent Osborn has been banged up this year, but he was a stud for the Vikings before leaving in free agency. I think Osborn can come in immediately help a team. The Patriots have Kendrick Bourne, Ty Thornton, and some young guys on the bench who deserve a shot.
Mike Williams, WR, New York Jets – The New York Jets should keep Mike Williams if they want to make a run, but everyone is mentioning his name as a possible trade candidate. His contract could hurt some teams but he is a big time player when he is given the ball.
