What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
So when I was younger I had a great love for the game watching Sean Taylor, and Kam Chancellor and I always had a love for the game that grew when I started playing and when I started playing I realized I was really good at this too.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
The journey of helping rebuild the program at Wagner and changing the culture and becoming a leader, helping the young guys, facing the adversity to help the team grow and move forward.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I’m looking for an opportunity to progress my talent and show how hard working I am and that I can play at the highest level and build myself up as a player and continue to play the sport that I love.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
Sean Taylor, I would love to see his work ethic and mindset and how he approaches the game. Luke Kuechly, I would love to see how he trains and his tendencies of film study. Patrick Willis, he was my favorite linebacker to watch, and I would love to see what his work ethic was like along with Luke Kuechly’s and Sean Taylor’s too.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My dad, just seeing what he’s been through in life especially when I was younger. He never quit anything, and he taught me how to be a man and he’s done some tough things and has handled adversity well. He showed me what it was like to be a real mature man.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
4-3, because that’s more of a linebacker defense that shows a linebacker’s versatility out there, but I don’t limit myself to any defense I can play in any scheme.
What should we know about Jalin Justice the person?
He’s very determined and never bats an eye up against adversity and willing to face anything. Is a very hardworking person and will do anything he puts his mind to and chases improvement and does his best every day to be the best.
What stands out about your film the most?
My ability to run and my speed to play sideline to sideline and ability to get pressures and be physical and my relentless pursuit.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I believe you just have to face challenges head on, and you fight back and they only make you better in the end.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Somebody who is hardworking and relentless. Who understands the importance of a team and leadership and what a team means. High character guy who always tries to do what’s best and who is always trying to improve the team and someone who is hungry to be the best.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love how this game is really like life and the only way to success is toughness. And to be successful you have to be tough and with a band of brothers going out there and try to be strong and have fun.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Junior Wily, he was a safety for us last year and I believe that he had the talent to get to the next level and he did the best for the program, and he had a great work ethic and would always be training
