Written by Karver Jordan
The New England Patriots with Drake Maye at the helm defeated the Chicago Bears 19 – 3 last Sunday afternoon, Maye recorded 15 completions out of his 25 passing attempts for 184 yards while adding a touchdown and an interception – The kid out of North Carolina would go on to rush for 24 yards. New England looks like a whole different team under the leadership of the young signal caller, Kayshon Boutte and DeMario “Pop” Douglas both recorded four receptions each; The two wide receivers have really taken off with Maye as the starting Quarterback.

New England recorded nine sacks vs Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears, New England’s Defense held Williams to only 16 completions out of his 30 passing attempts for only 120 yards through the air, DeMarcus Covington schemed up a very well put together defense vs the Offensively Struggling Chicago Bears.
Brendon Schooler records his first career sack:
Christian Barmore has returned to Practice after being sidelined for the first couple weeks of the season due to Blood Clots. It is not likely for the 25-year-old Defensive Tackle to be ready to play vs the Los Angeles Rams. Barmore recorded 8.5 sacks along with 64 combined tackles last season with New England.
The Los Angeles Rams (4-5) are off to New England this weekend, to face off against the Patriots (3-7) at 1:00 PM EST on FOX. Los Angeles is coming off a loss to the Miami Dolphins, 23 – 15 being the final score. Miami held Los Angeles to five field goals, The Rams struggled in the Red Zone and couldn’t really get anything going on Offense. Veteran Quarterback Matthew Stafford recorded 32 completions out of his 46 passing attempts for 293 yards and one interception, Stafford looked mediocre at best.
LA Rams Wide Receiver Puka Nacua recorded nine receptions for 98 yards vs Miami, Cooper Kupp recorded seven receptions for 80 yards, and Kyren Williams finished the day on the ground with 15 carries for 62 yards. New England Defensive Back Christian Gonzalez will need to lock up Cooper Kupp as well as Puka Nacua – Expect the young corner to switch on and off both Kupp and Nacua depending on the formation LA comes out in.
Tua Tagovailoa recorded 20 completions on his 28 passing attempts vs the Rams defense, Los Angeles did a good job limiting Tyreek Hill to only three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown. Watch DeMario Douglas, Ja’Lynn Polk, and Kayshon Boutte vs Los Angeles.
