Patriots Head Coach Calls His Team SOFT! | Devin McCourty responds to Jerod Mayo’s comments

Jerod Mayo is not happy with this team’s performance. He is so pissed he called his team SOFT. This came after the team’s sixth straight defeat this week to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“We’re a soft football team across the board,” Mayo said. “We talk about what makes a tough football team, and that’s being able to run the ball, being able to stop the run and that’s being able to cover kicks. We did none of those.”
The Patriots had a 10-point lead and blew it. Patriots had won 59 consecutive games — since 2017 — when leading by 10 points or more, but they did not win this weekend.
Jerod Mayo was not happy. Mayo said he’s “not sure” what has led to the Patriots becoming a “soft” team.
“That’s something I have to think about,” Mayo said. “We have a long flight back. It’s not like all of a sudden we did something different and now we’re a soft football team. It’s just the mentality that we have to get back in the guys.”
Jerod Mayo’s former teammate Devin McCourty responded to Mayos’ comments on the Patriots being soft.
“The first thing I think of is toughness isn’t a skillset. You don’t need to be fast or do anything special to be tough. The second part of that is: Why, Jerod?” McCourty asked.
“Why is this team not tough? When you hear a team isn’t tough and they are soft, you think, ‘What is the head coach doing?’ How is he getting them ready to go? Mayo and that staff have a lot of questions to answer going into next week.”
It is getting ugly in New England.
