Arkansas High School Football Player and his family died in a house fire
We are so saddened to report that Isaiah Arrington, 18, his 6-year-old sister Vivian Medrano and their mother, Wendy Medrano, all died in a house fire early Wednesday morning in Greenwood.
Another person inside the home at the time jumped from a second story window. Police said they were critically injured and was taken to the hospital.
The official cause of the fire remains unknown, but the fire chief believes the fire started in the yard and moved to the house.
Police are now reviewing the victims bodies.
Arrington was a senior at Greenwood High School and played on the football team. Greenwood Public Schools released this statement:
“Our deepest sympathies go out to the families involved, as well as to our dedicated staff and students, as we navigate this sorrow together,” the school said in a statement.
Please keep the family in your prayers.
