Sixteen-Year-Old pleads Guilty to the Murder of former Southern Miss DB MJ Daniels
A 16-year-old has pleaded guilty to the murder of former Southern Miss football star Marcus MJ Daniels. Nytavion Shaw, of Laurel, Mississippi was charged as an adult for second-degree murder.
Shaw admitted the murder happened during an armed robbery.
Shaw is facing up to 40 years in prison for the charge. His sentencing date will be announced at a later date.
Daniels, 21, was a starting cornerback last season for Southern Miss. He was killed June 11 while sitting in his car outside his apartment in Hattiesburg.
