Top FCS Football Matchups of Week 7

Hello Justin Berendzen from NFL Draft Diamonds who is here to bring you my favorite FCS matchups for Week 7 of the 2024 season and here are my favorite matchups.

University of Idaho at Montana State University

Vandals at the Bobcats in what has the makings to be the best FCS matchup in week seven. Montana State’s offense has sophomore running back Scottre Humphrey who has 668 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns dominating teams this season so far. Defensively for the Vandals they have senior defensive lineman Keyshawn James-Newby who has 8 1/2 TFLs and 8 sacks this year to date. Jordan Dwyer Idaho redshirt sophomore wide receiver has 381 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns this season. The Bobcat’s defense is led by senior defensive lineman Brody Grebe who has 6 TFLs and 5 sacks in this season so far.

Missouri State University at Illinois State University

Good Missouri Valley conference matchup here. The Redbirds offense is led by junior running back Wenkers Wright who has 503 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns in the year. For Missouri State defensively has senior defensive lineman Jalen Williams who has 5 1/2 TFLs and 4 sacks this season. The Bears offense has senior running back Jacardia Wright who has 338b rushing yards and 6 touchdowns to date this year. Tye Niekamp sophomore linebacker has 44 tackles, 5 1/2 TFLs and 2 interceptions this season.

Butler University at Drake University

Two talented teams in this one. Drake’s defense has redshirt junior defensive lineman Finn Claypool who has 5 1/2 TFLs and 3 1/2 sacks in this season so far. Butler’s offense has redshirt sophomore wide receiver Ethan Loss who has 253 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns this year to date. Defensively for Butler they have senior defensive back Nick Bafia who has 23 tackles and 4 PBUs this season. Drake wide receiver Mitchell January has 286 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in the year so far.

Nicholls State University at University of the Incarnate Word

Colonels at the Cardinals in this one. Jalen Walthall redshirt junior wide receiver has 569 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns this season for Incarnate Word. Defensively for the Colonels they have junior linebacker Eli Ennis who has 44 tackles and 3 TFLs in the year. Nicholls offense has senior running back Collin Guggenheim who has 456 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns this season. The Cardinal’s defense has senior defensive back Mason Chambers who has 34 tackles, 4 PBUs and 1 interception in games this year.

Northern Arizona University at University of Montana 

Another Big Sky matchup. Montana’s offense has Eli Gillman sophomore running back who has 634 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns this season. The Lumberjack’s defense has redshirt sophomore linebacker Ammon Allen who has 38 tackles, 4.5 TFLs, 2 sacks and 2 PBUs in the 2024 season. Northern Arizona’s offense is led by senior tight end Bryzai White who has 273 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Grizzlies they have redshirt senior cornerback Trevin Gradney who has 23 tackles and 5 PBUs this year.
