After a tough series of weeks Jerod Mayo has finally made the decision to bench veteran Quarterback Jacoby Brissett – Brissett finished with 79 completions out of his 175 passing attempts for 696 yards, a completion percentage of 58.5%, and only two touchdowns on the season which is 32nd in the league. Brissett did take good control of the football with only one interception, Props to the veteran for always getting back up after taking a beating these last couple of weeks, 17 total sacks on Brissett.

Time to turn the page to the Drake Maye story, the rookie quarterback who was selected out of UNC is making his first NFL Career start vs the Houston Texans at 1:00 PM EST on Sunday.

Drake Maye did have some playing time vs the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in week three, Maye completed four of his eight passes for 22 yards. Maye found Demario “Pop” Douglas on fourth down that gave some life to the Patriots fans on the 24 – 3 loss.

One of the main reasons why the New England Patriots drafted the promising prospect out of UNC was because of the mobility, Maye showed some of his speed on a read option vs the Philadelphia Eagles.

All New England Patriots fans eyes will be on Drake Maye this Sunday, with Mayes ability to move out of the pocket it could change the whole Offensive Line play. Drake Maye will play this Sunday at 1:00 PM EST on CBS, @nesportreview on X will be covering the game.
