Breaking: 49ers are signing TE Brayden Willis to the 53-man roster, after teams attempted to poach him

We are hearing the San Francisco 49ers are signing former Oklahoma Sooners tight end Brayden Willis to their 53-man roster.
Willis was on the 49ers practice squad, but teams were attempting to poach the former Sooner from Niners practice squad.
The Niners made the move to sign Willis up to their 53 to ensure he was not signed by another team.
Willis played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners for five seasons. He caught 15 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns as a senior. Willis decided to use the extra year of eligibility granted to college athletes in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and returned to Oklahoma for a fifth season. In his final season, he caught 39 passes for 514 yards and seven touchdowns.
Willis was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round, 247th overall, of the 2023 NFL draft.
