VIDEO: Police Body Cam Footage of Tyreek Hill’s Arrest is RELEASED
Tyreek Hill was detained by Miami-Dade police just hours before the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a traffic incident near Hard Rock Stadium. The incident occurred on Sunday morning when Hill was stopped for speeding and reckless driving.
During the stop, Hill was handcuffed and placed on the ground by officers, leading to a brief altercation where he was accused of being uncooperative. He was cited for careless driving and a seatbelt violation but was released shortly after, allowing him to participate in the game later that day.
One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative leave while an internal investigation is conducted.
Hill’s legal team is considering taking legal action against the officers involved, as they argue that Hill was treated unfairly during the encounter. Hill, visibly frustrated by the situation, expressed concern over the escalation and the potential role of racial profiling in the incident.
