Player Summary:

5th Yr GR and 1 year full-time starter at TE where he aligns as an “H” both inline and in the slot in the gap/zone blocking scheme of VAUN. He transferred from MAHA in 2024 where he was a 2 yr full-time starter. He possesses marginal height with adequate weight and solid speed with an athletic build. He is a sufficient athlete showing a combination of solid explosiveness with sufficient COD, balance, lateral quickness, and agility with average acceleration and top-end play speed. He shows decent quickness off the LOS and exhibits sufficient FBI as he reads the coverage and finds the soft spot in the zone. He exhibits average hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem. He displays solid hands as he possesses decent manual dexterity that enables him to exhibit a catch radius that allows him to catch the ball with his hands near his frame. He shows above-average contact balance as he keeps his feet moving on contact and finishes the play falling forward for extra yardage. He does a solid job of adjusting his body to passes thrown low. He is sufficient at working his way back to the QB on broken plays. He is a good run blocker. He is quick out of his stance and exhibits decent UOH as he wins battles with his hands inside before generating movement at the POA with his solid grip strength, physical toughness, and foot drive against 7T with adequate size and AA. He is sufficient in pass pro. He keeps his feet moving and exhibits sufficient UOH and play strength as he anchors against EDGE with an ordinary get-off. He displays excellent mental toughness as he elevates his game in the red zone. He is ordinary in contested catch situations as he struggles to box out DB with good size and ball skills. Lack of quality play speed and AA prevents him from separating in-man coverage against DB with solid AA and gaining significant YAC consistently.

Scheme Fit:

YTE due to his blocking ability.

Power Statement:

Tough, reliable player who is a good run blocker and is decent overall in the passing game. Lack of quality AA and play speed prevent him from separating in man coverage and gaining significant YAC consistently.
