Player Summary:
5th year senior who has been a full-time starter at RT for the past 2 years and also played in 11 games and started 7 of them in 2021. He possesses amazing height and weight, with big hands to go along with his long frame. He is a solid athlete for his size, has decent COD, and lateral quickness. Possess good strength at times when he can latch onto you first. High IQ and awareness player who does an adequate job of identifying the defense line stunt and dishing the stunt man to the guard. He is a decent run blocker. Pad level gets high at times when run blocking which causes him to get off balance and lose his footing. When pulling he shows decent athletic ability with solid lateral quickness to get to the 2nd level. Does a solid job of delivering an initial strike when pass blocking. Display good grip strength and strong hands and uses his long arms when edge rushers try to bull rush him. Has good knee bend but is very inconsistent with it. Does a good job of cutting the defender in half and staying square. Can be slow footed at times and defenders like to attack his outside hip. He exhibits solid recovery ability if he misses with hands initially and reworks them back inside.
Scheme Fit:
Pass heavy offense.
Power Statement:
Experienced player who has an NFL ready body who is a good pass blocker and decent run blocker. Athletic player for his size but still needs to get a little bit more quicker and lighter on his feet to help defeat the quicker and twitcher edge rushers. Needs to learn how to get his pad level lower when run blocking and drive his feet and keep them moving.
