Former Morgan State Football Player Shot and Killed in Pittsburgh
Gavin Yarbough a 21-year-old football player who recently played at Morgan State was shot and killed late Monday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Braddock Hills resident was shot multiple times and rushed to UPMC Presbyterian hospital where he died.
Investigators are looking into the shooting. Yarbough was rushed to the local hospital in a vehicle, which Cops have obtained a search warrant to search.
Gavin played high school football from Woodland Hills High School in 2021.
Yarbough was enrolled as a junior this year at Morgan State University, a Historically Black College or University in Baltimore, where he majored in business administration.
Yarbough appeared on the 2023 Morgan State Bears roster as a defensive back, standing 5 feet 10 inches and 165 pounds. He is listed as having last played in November in a 14-7 loss to the Howard Bison.
