Texas High School Star Football Player Gunned Down Inside a Gas Station
A 17-year-old is dead after a shooting not far from a high school football game on Friday night. David Washington played football for Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas.
A large crowd gathered at a gas station on Polk Street across from John Kincaide Stadium just before 11 p.m.
David Washington had a deep passion for football, with dreams of going to college and eventually playing professionally.
The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on the 8000 block of Polk Street. According to a preliminary investigation by Dallas Police, a large crowd had gathered in the area and began following David.
Dallas police arrested a 16-year-old and charged them with Washington’s murder on Saturday, Sept. 8, police said in a press release.
