A New Jersey football coach and a youth football player were killed in a car crash
A South New Jersey town is mourning the loss of not one, but two people in their beloved football community. There was a car accident that happened outside a sports complex in Vineland, New Jersey that took the life of a young boy and loved football coach on Thursday evening.
The Vineland Blitz football team was hosting the Upper Township Indians on the night of the crash.
According to reports, the crash happened around 5:53 pm.
Police say 31-year-old Addiel A. Ortiz, of Millville, New Jersey, was on a motorcycle when he crashed into a Chevy Traverse.
Ortiz and a 9-year-old boy inside the Traverse, who police identified as Easton Beisler, were both pronounced dead.
Lauren Beisler, the boy’s mother, who was driving the Traverse, was not injured.
Beisler was a fourth grader who had a huge heart. A GoFundMe account has been created for funeral expenses.
Addiel served as a state correction police officer for over 10 years at Southern State Correctional Facility and Bayside State Prison. Addiel leaves behind his fiancé Destiny and 4 children, Cameron, Bella, Jenna, and Avery. A GoFundMe account has been set up for the Ortiz family as well.
Please keep both families in your prayers during this tough time.
