Fantasy Football injury report: Latest on De’Von Achane, Christian McCaffrey and more in Week 2
Will De’Von Achane, and Raheem Mostert play on TNF?
The first two players to keep an eye on are Dolphins’ running backs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane. While Mostert has already been ruled out of tonight’s contest with a chest injury, Achane (ankle) was labeled a game-time decision, but there according to sources, he will be active for tonight’s game against Buffalo.
Is Christian McCaffrey a long shot to play in week 2?
Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) feels like a ‘long-shot’ to play in Week 2, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
McCaffrey missed all the preseason and training camp with a calf injury, and now we’re being told he has Achilles tendonitis. There is a risk with both ailments if the medical staff doesn’t give McCaffrey time to heal. So I would not be shocked if he is held out in week 2.
Kenneth Walker III (oblique) doesn’t practice Thursday
Kenneth Walker III (oblique) missed practice for the second day in a row on Thursday. He has been sidelined throughout Seattle’s practices this week due to an oblique injury sustained in Week 1. It’s uncertain whether this will affect his availability for Week 2 against the Patriots. If Walker is limited or unable to play, Zach Charbonnet is expected to take on the majority of the workload in Seattle’s backfield.
