Player Summary:
SR and 2 yr full-time starter at RB in the zone heavy blocking scheme of OHCI. Transferred from LAST in ‘22. He possesses marginal height with ordinary weight and speed with a compact, muscular build. He is a solid athlete showing a combination of good balance with solid explosiveness, COD, acceleration, ordinary lateral quickness and agility with average top end play speed. He displays sufficient vision as he finds the open hole or cutback lane on oz/iz and displays solid patience as he waits for his block to be set up on power/counter runs. He displays solid burst through the hole and exhibits very good contact balance and power as he keeps his feet moving on contact breaking tackles from LB with subpar explosiveness and does an above-average job of finishing the run by falling forward for extra yardage. He is sufficient in the passing game. He is solid in pass pro. He shows the willingness to assist and locates the penetrating DL or blitzing LB. He squares his shoulders and displays decent UOH in his punch, placement and timing while exhibiting good physical toughness and sufficient play strength as he negates the progress of LB with average AA and size. As a receiver, he runs flats, curls and swing routes. He displays solid hands showing sufficient manual dexterity that allows him to possess a catch radius that enables him to catch the ball with his hands near his frame. He exhibits very good mental toughness as he does not shy away from contact both as a runner and in pass pro and is very durable. Lack of home run play speed limits his playmaking ability with the ball in his hands both as a runner and receiver. Ordinary lateral quickness and agility prevents him from bouncing runs to the outside and turn the corner consistently.
Scheme Fit:
RB in zone/gap scheme.
Power Statement:
Tough, durable player whose quality contact balance enables him to pick up extra yardage. He is solid in pass pro and shows sufficient hands as a receiver. Lack of home run play speed limits his playmaking ability.
