Player Summary:
A 5th year senior who spent his first 2 years at Wake Forest before transferring to Liberty this past year. He was awarded C-USA Newcomer of the Year and earned a tremendous amount of accolades this past fall season. Has marginal height with a very strong upper and lower half to his body. Powerful runner who is looking for contact each time he touches the ball. Plays with a great low center of gravity which makes it hard for defenders to tackle him. A very patient runner with great vision. Does a good job of letting his blocks develop and running behind them. Has great contact balance which allows stay up on his feet when getting hit initially. Takes more than one person to take him to the ground. Displays great toughness and competitive edge to his game as he fights for every yard he gets. Plays with great low pad level in goal line situations that allows him to sneak and find creases to get in the endzone. Not scared to stick his nose in and step up and make a block in pass protection. Does not have home run ability. Not much of a threat in the passing game.
Scheme Fit:
Can fit an offense that uses a power run scheme who identity running down the middle of the defense. Versatile enough to where he can be utilized in zone runs.
Power Statement:
A running back who possesses good power and plays with a great low center of gravity. Along comes with great patience and vision as a runner who is not in a hurry to make a big splash play. Very reliable in goal line situations as he can find his way through his blocks and sneak into the endzone. Not much of a home run threat but can wear on defense all game with his powerful runs and make them not want to tackle him by the 4th quarter. Needs to show he can do more in the passing game and which will allow him to bring more value to his game and have a shot to the pros.
