Pittman’s Pocket: NCAA Dodges Antitrust Battle with Brian Pittman, Part 2

Mr. Pittman has played a pivotal role in helping numerous players excel in professional football leagues like the NFL, CFL, and others. Notable athletes include:

  • Tim Patrick: From Grossmont Community College to Utah, now with the Denver Broncos.
  • Shane Richards: From New Mexico Military Institute to Oklahoma State, and the #1 overall pick in the 2019 CFL Draft, now with the Edmonton Elks.
  • Chubba Hubbard: From Alberta’s Bev Facey High School to Oklahoma State, now with the Carolina Panthers.
  • Joe Williams: From ASA Community College in New York to Utah State, selected in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
  • Alex Fontana: From ASA CC/New Mexico Military Institute to Houston, selected 5th overall in the 1st round of the 2019 CFL Draft.

Chubba Hubbard’s name stands out in connection with a legal matter involving Mr. Pittman. During the proceedings of Brian Pittman v. Adam Morrissey/NCAA, Hubbard’s name appeared in an email Mr. Pittman, the plaintiff, sent to the judge’s secretary. This email, which contained significant evidence, was passed on but never heard or cross-examined in court. Mr. Pittman sought a Writ of Discovery to address this, but it was suppressed by Judge Arkin.

This legal struggle could be pivotal, especially with the recent class action lawsuit against the NCAA, stemming from new legislation passed by Congress. Mr. Pittman is now appealing his case to the Florida Supreme Court, with hopes that the overwhelming evidence will be acknowledged, and justice will prevail regarding the unfair challenges he faced against the NCAA.
