South Dakota high school football player who suffered traumatic brain injury in 2019 dies
A South Dakota football player who suffered a horrible injury on the field has passed away.
Trevor Zuehlke, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2019 playing football for Britton-Hecla, passed away early Thursday morning in Sioux Falls.
Zuehlke’s career was cut short after suffering a massive seizure on August 8th.
Trevor passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 21.
