Houston Texans become the first team to cut a 2024 NFL Draft Pick
The Houston Texans announced they released former Michigan offensive lineman LaDarius Henderson.
Henderson was selected in the 7th Round of April’s Draft. He becomes the first draft pick to be cut from a team.
Henderson was released with a non-football injury designation. Henderson will likely end up on injured reserve if he clears waivers, but this is really early to be cut.
Many NFL Draft picks are cut every year, but usually they make it through the pre-season.
Henderson is a big offensive lineman who played for Jim Harbaugh at Michigan last year. The Texans reportedly had veteran offensive lineman Cam Erving in for a workout. Erving has played in 98 career games starting 58 of them.
