Who are the top five best free agents available in the NFL?
Several high-profile NFL free agents are still available, offering a range of talent across various positions. With NFL teams picking up salary dumps on June 1st, several teams have more money than they did when free-agency kicked off. I wanted to break down five free agent prospects that could come in right now and make an impact for an NFL team.
The Best Free Agents Available
Dalvin Cook: After stints with the Jets and Ravens, Cook is a high-upside option if he can stay healthy. This guy terrorized the NFL for the Vikings, to see him still at home is crazy.
Hunter Renfrow: Renfrow has been productive as a slot receiver for the Raiders and could find a new home soon. One of the smoothest route runners in the game, I am blown away he is not on a roster.
Justin Simmons: A top safety, Simmons brings high-level playmaking and leadership to the secondary. I am shocked that Justin Simmons is still available. He is a beast.
Stephon Gilmore: The veteran cornerback can still provide solid coverage skills and experience. There are several teams looking for a veteran corner and he is by far the best available.
Shaquille Leonard: The former Colts/Eagles linebacker is only 28 years old. A few years ago he was NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year. He has a lot left in his tank, and is a 3x Pro Bowler.
