Former Miami HS star football player shot and killed at the age of 24
DeMarco Harris, 24, a former star high school at Miami’s Northwestern High School was shot and killed in Miami.
According to reports, police found him around 4 a.m. in the parking lot of the Sylvester Cocktail Bar.
Harris was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to his family, he was working as an Uber driver likely waiting for his next order when he was shot.
DaMarco Harris joined the school’s football varsity team during his junior year at Northwestern High. The 6’3’’, 210-pound wide out/tight end was an unselfish player who was solid.
Harris, assisted his team win the Class 6A state championship game in December 2017, and it was the team’s first title in 10 years.
