What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Basketball was my original sport. When I realized 6’ 3” on the court is small but 6’ 3” on the field is tall made me realize my dominance in football.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Catching a game winning touchdown against my rivals my senior year!
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Maximizing my potential as a player overall and find ways to stay on the field and be versatile.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Steve Smith. I feel like he is known for his relentless effort. It should wear off on me.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom. Her support is incredible. She has showed me the foundation of what it means to take care of business.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
Air Raid the ball is always in the air and big plays being made.
What should we know about RJ Mobley the person?
He is a country boy at heart. Mentally strong and understands the importance of the process. Hardworking, family oriented guy. RJ is someone that’s makes everyone around him better.
What stands out about your film the most?
The playmaking ability at my size. I don’t look slow and stiff. I’m fast and elusive.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Faces my challenges head on with my faith in God. He is who I give all my problems to because he would give me the problems if he didn’t think I could handle it.
What would a team get in a player like you?
The would get a kid that’s coachable from lowest level to the highest. A kid that’s hardworking willing to learn and get better. They are getting a kid with relentless effort and the will to win.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The life lessons it teaches like perseverance, determination, discipline and teamwork.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Myles Dillon. Me and him are like Batman and Robin at receiver. Only reason his is underrated is because I was getting the ball majority of the time but he definitely deserves his flowers.
