Rashee Rice faces multiple potential charges from street-racing crash | Will he spend time in jail?

Will Rashee Rice spend time in jail for street racing in Texas and causing a six-car accident?

He will be charged very soon for the incident, but he is trying to play the smart card and take full responsibility, showing the courts that he messed up. Ownership is usually a good thing in cases like this.

Add in the fact that he is a celebrity, he could end up with a slap on the wrist, but Rice does have several potential charges that could put him in jail.

According to Pro Football Talk, Rice faces a felony charge which could end in two to 10 years in jail and leaving the scene which could add more time from 1 to 5 years if the injuries are not serious, and if they are 2 to 10.

Because the six-car crash triggered by the obvious race between the Lamborghini that Rice was driving and the Corvette registered to him resulted in injury to one or more people, Rice faces a potential third-degree felony charge, which carries a possible sentence of two to 10 years in prison.

Leaving the scene creates a separate issue for Rice, especially since the accident involved injury. It’s a one-to-five-year potential if the injuries are not regarded as “serious,” and two-to-ten years if the injuries are deemed “serious.”

He was also caught with a small amount of weed, but I am not sure they will charge him for that.

This is pretty wild because Rice made a huge mistake. Because it is his first offense with the NFL, he could be suspended for a couple of games. If the NFL reviews it and deems it as a black eye to them they could crush Rice.

Either way he will be suspended, but for how long is the question. I would not be shocked if the Chiefs drafted a wide receiver early.
