NFL GM says NIL has affected the 2024 NFL Draft Big Time

John Lynch the General Manager of the San Francisco 49ers said the NFL is definitely feeling the effects of NIL at the next level.
In an interview, Lynch stated 83 players his team had a draftable grade on decided not to declare for this draft.
“So thinking there’s more than a 50-percent chance they’re entering the draft are back in college because of NIL and things like that.” Lynch said.
That is good for many others in the draft, but the NIL money is real. You have a ton of guys that went back to school to pursue a nice pay day. 83 players is a lot of talent that typically would be in this draft that begins Thursday.
Lynch went on to say he had 35 of the 83 that went back to school a starter grade by his team.
“That’s a significant amount,” Lynch said. “And how that affects this draft, it’s going to be interesting.”
That is pretty crazy, 35 starters potentially going back to school is an insane amount.
