Los Angeles Chargers Full Seven Round Mock Draft | Chargers take the safest pick in the draft

NFL Draft Diamonds wanted to utilize PFN Mock Draft Simulator and put together a Mock Draft for every NFL team before the 2024 NFL Draft in a few weeks.

The Chargers are picking fifth overall and while I know that many will say they need to take a star wide receiver, but the problem is they both went off the board when I ran this Mock Draft. I had an opportunity to take Jayden Daniels, but I do not think the Chargers need him. Could they have traded out, yes, but for this series we are not making trades.

So with the fifth pick I selected Joe Alt, I feel the Notre Dame pass blocker is the safest pick in the entire draft. The Chargers have Rashawn Slater and I know many Chargers fans would not see this is a huge need, but remember this as well, Slater is coming off an injury and played 26 games in college as a right tackle.

If you add Alt at 5, you solidify your tackles and bookends for years to come. You still have Trey Pipkins to rotate in and out as well.

I then when ham for the Chargers offense. I added Roman Wilson who is a Harbaugh guy with a few of his favorite offensive lineman.

Adding Javon Baker later as well was a huge addition for me. I think the Chargers hit gold in this mock draft.
