Braelon Allen has a good balance of both speed and power, something many running backs in this class do not have. He runs a 4.4 forty time at 230 pounds. He can run over defenders and make defenders miss in the open field with his elite footwork and ability to make people miss the tackle.

He breaks tackles efficiently and often, and bounces in and out of cuts. He has a good balance on his feet when defenders attempt to tackle him low. He could use some work on ball security and an overall higher motor.

He has great acceleration and runs with a type of violence rare to see in backs. He aggressively finishes runs and fights for extra yards in short-down situations. He has a great initial burst and utilizes it when he is patient enough to see the gaps in the line open up.
