What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Growing up, my older brother played Pop Warner. I always wanted to be like him so that is what got me into the game. Once I started playing, I fell in love with every aspect of the game especially how competitive it is.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

One of the most memorable moments of my career was our win this year against Oklahoma State. It was a monsoon and after the game, our fans stormed the field. I will never forget that moment with my brothers. Some of my favorite personal moments are when I earned my scholarship after walking onto the team, celebrating with my teammates after my game-winning one-handed catch, and being elected captain by my teammates. Every time I got to suit up in a UCF uniform with my brothers was a blessing.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I am looking to prove that I can contribute both offensive and on special teams at the highest level. That is what I set out to accomplish at UCF. I came in as a walk-on Tight End and left as a starting Power 5 captain. I plan to carry this mindset with me as I embark on the journey to play in the NFL. My goal is to do this by making big plays, gaining the trust of my coaches, and being a game-changer for my team.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would spend one more day with my former teammate Jake Hescock. He showed me the ropes at UCF and was a big brother to me. He passed away about a year and a half ago. I would love to tell him how much he still impacts me and how much I love him.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

This is a hard question because two stand out. My wife pushes me every day to be the best version of myself in all aspects of life and I want to make her proud on and off the field. My dad also inspires me because I strive to be just like him. A strong, successful, faithful, and loving husband who puts GOD on the pedestal of his life.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I love inside zone specifically, insert zone. I think when you have a good tight end you can open huge gaps for the running back to gain lots of yards before contact.

What should we know about Alec Holler the person?

My faith and my family are everything to me. I am also one of the most competitive people you will ever meet, this carries over mainly to the football field, of course, but also the golf course, a family game of Monopoly, or pretty much any other competition.

What stands out about your film the most?

I am very consistent and I get my job done. I also make big plays when my number is called, whether the ball is in my hands or I am the lead blocker.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

In challenging circumstances, I lean on my faith in GOD. The following verse is one that I have committed to heart during this process. “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

What would a team get in a player like you?

Whatever team selects me will get a hidden gem in this draft class. I am a hard-working, high-IQ player who will push himself as well as his teammates to succeed.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

My favorite part of the game is the preparation. I love the strategy and time that it takes to become a successful player and team.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

RJ Harvey. He is an absolute freak athlete and finally is starting to get the recognition that he deserves. He is the best running back in college football and it’s not even close. He also is one of the more humble players I have ever been around and puts in the work every day.
